Our aim

Association overview

The ABR is a social and supportive organisation. We have members based throughout the island and we try to make people feel at home, help them make friends and colleagues and give them some useful information about living and working. We also hold monthly Coffee Mornings, TGIF (Thank God It’s Friday) meals out at a selected restaurant, organise events including The Christmas Carols, Quizzes and bookshop / library and much more.

Benevolent fund

The ABR run a benevolent fund to provide emergency financial assistance to financially challenged members or to make other charitable donations or payments as the President and Committee elect.

Throughout the year the ABR raise money for charity and if any member has a specific organisation or cause they would like to put to the committee to receive donations please contact the President..

Membership

Membership is valid for 12 months - 01 April to 31 March

Fees – 3,000 SL Rupees for Individual’s / Families / Couples (inclusive)

Discounts

As part of the ABR membership a number of shops, restaurants and organisations have kindly provided discounts and offers. On making a purchase or payment please show your ABR card to receive the benefit. For full list – see - Discounts Page on this website.
